![]() I dislike that we are always in a rush or focus heavily on time. I think it is one major kryptonite we have as a society. I say that because when we focus heavily on time, we begin to rush. We begin to forget how to enjoy the simple things in life. And most of all we forget what truly matter the most to us; our family goals, career goals and simply life goals. But I don’t want that to discourage anyone in any way for focusing on time. In fact I want to challenge you. Think back to your childhood, your high school days or even your college days. What is it that you wanted to do—the one thing that made your heart smile? What was that goal? Just think on that for a second. Does it still send sunshine into your heart? Does it put a smile on your face as you think of it? Has it crossed your mind over the years? If so, I would say that it is a passion of yours and I also say it is time to do something about it. IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!!! Let me say that again…IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!!! I too had those feelings, that life has moved so quickly and I haven't done half of what is on my life’s to-do list. I could wash my hands of it all and say, well what is done, is done (or in this case what isn't done, isn't done) BUT I choose to make life more exciting by venturing out into new things. I must admit the time has flown by quickly. I graduated high school, attended community college, gave birth to an amazing daughter, and got caught up with life. Responsibilities rolled in and I knocked each out with my all. I would say I am a homerun hitter in the parenting field if life was a baseball game. I am proud to have worked hard to raise my daughter, but it is so much more to me than being a mom. There is so much that I could have done to make a difference in this world. My daughter and I have had this conversation and she understands wholeheartedly. She supports every decision I am making about really living life! She is on this journey too. After she graduated college, I said why shouldn't I continue my education as well? IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. Four years later, I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing. What is next? Law School! Because...IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!! I’m starting over in a new career field and starting a business that promotes awareness campaigns among other things. This is my truth. I am 47 years old and I continue to say IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. Your dreams will merely be dreams if no action is put behind it. Get up now, and get moving. Start small even if it's just an outline for a one year plan or a two year plan. You don't have to start out with big moves, but you do have to start. This is a challenge. Let us know at least one goal you want to accomplish in the next five years. Let us know if we can help. I truly believe continuous passion and action will drive you to the success you are looking for if you only remember that... IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!!!! #CheckInCheckOut |
